Hosting intro vs renewal price tracker

Every figure is the vendor's own published price on the checked date. Approx LKR values use USD/LKR 320 (checked 27 August 2026, central_bank_reference). Real card charge to a Sri Lankan cardholder runs 3-5% higher after bank FX markup.
Introductory hosting prices only cover the first invoice. Every plan below moves to a renewal rate from year two onward - typically 2 to 4 times higher. This tracker keeps every provider's intro and renewal side by side, sourced directly from the vendor's pricing page, so a Sri Lankan buyer can budget the second-year invoice before signing up.

How to read this table
The uplift column is the multiplier from intro to renewal, not the absolute LKR difference. A plan with a small uplift is not automatically the cheaper long-term choice - Namecheap Stellar Plus at 123% uplift stays well below Hostinger Premium's 301% uplift in absolute LKR because the base rate is lower. Compare the "Approx LKR renewal" column when budgeting.
How to budget for year two
Two rules for a Sri Lankan buyer using this tracker:
- Budget on the renewal from day one. Compute the year-two annual cost (renewal × 12) and treat that as the real price of the plan; the intro rate is a promotional discount, not a cost baseline.
- Buy annually the first time, not for three years. The three-year term extends the intro rate but locks the site to that host for three years. If the support turns out to be slow, that lock is worth more than the intro discount.
